People for People matches local donations to people who need immediate help – like immediate fuel for a cold home or emergency rent money. There is an application process, which verifies requests for assistance. Grant requests for those in need of assistance are submitted to People for People by social services, civic groups, schools, governmental agencies, police or fire departments, hospitals, or church and religious organizations.

People for People will work with these groups and others in the community to identify and meet the temporary and urgent needs of people experiencing temporary setbacks.

The foundation is not designed to help those chronically in need. Gloucester County already has many relief agencies in place, which are designed to meet specific needs within the community. People for People is a countywide effort that aims to help those who have nowhere else to turn.
